Beneath the vials of mystery

Wow, it's been a long time since I last posted. Sorry about that. Seems like this house buying process is wrecking my time schedule and ruining my mood. It's got me up nights, God's truth. Well, not really. I just wanted to throw that in there.

Other than the frustration of buying a townhome from a jackass, things are pretty good. Nothing really to talk about, except that I bought a couple of Cds. I enjoy Pearl Jams new album. It's not incredible, but it's getting better every time I listen to it, so I'm really happy with that.

I also bought David Gray's first two albums, A Century Ends and Flesh. He sounds so incredibly...Welsh on them. The core of his act is there, but he's incredibly unpolished. Which is good in a way and bad in a way. I don't know really how I feel about those albums yet. I listen to them the day they arrived via Amazon, but I haven't really given them enough listens to make a sure judgement. I love his music and so I had incredibly high hopes for it, but I have a feeling that it's going to be something that I'm going to have to come back to later to connect with it. Under the Table and Dreaming was the same way for me and I think we all know how much I enjoyed DMB when they used to make good music.

I saw one of my ex's today. It's always strange to see someone you used to talk to a lot and now you can't because they won't let you or won't let something go. I wonder if I caused anyone to feel that way. If so, I'm sorry. That's just a terrible feeling because obviously there was something there and now it's burned away. So if I did that to you or made you feel like that, I'm sorry.

Anyway, on to happier things. The question of the week: if you were a superhero, what power would you want to have? I've only had one answer thus far. One of the ladies at work would like the ability to walk through walls. An interesting choice, to be sure. Personally, I'd have to go with telekineses or telepathy but I don't know which one I'd choose. What about you?

That's about all that I can think of at the moment. Cheer's to the bride...
