Un-merrily thinking

I've been a little moody lately and I don't really know why. It seems like everything is great and I should really be enjoying it, but I keep coming down. Michelle thinks she's to blame and it's not fair for her to feel that way. I probably end up shutting her out, which isn't really fair, but I don't know how to explain how I feel and I don't know if I want to get into it yet. I'm pretty sure that I need to figure it out myself before I turn it loose on anyone else, especially someone that I care for. Hopefully, I'll get it straighten out soon and return to my happy self.

We went up to Michigan this weekend past to spend time at my Uncle's lakehouse. The place is incredible, with room for 22 people in beds. It just blows my mind. They (my uncle's family) are really big into watersports, which is cool for those of us who don't know anything about watersports (like myself). I watched a couple of people ski and wakeboard and even kneeboard, which I understand is really hard to do and incredibly uncomfortable for people who are all grown up. Having knee pains lately, I decided to pass on doing any of the aquatic activities. Instead, I ate and drank and had a good time.

We (Michelle and I) challenged my mom and dad to a couple of games of bags. Now, I know you're thinking there's no point to that because my parents wouldn't be any good at those types of games. I know you were thinking that because I thought that. I was wrong. My mom proved to be incredibly good. What I didn't know is that she was the defending champion before we got there. So we played and Michelle and I swept the series. I think I should walk around and refer to myself as the champ. Michelle told me that was dumb, so I guess I won't.

That's about everything for now. Here's hoping you're doing well.

Bags is a game like horseshoes where you toss bags (hence the name) towards a board with a 6 inch circular hole cut in it. The object of the game is to throw the bag into the hole. That's worth three points. Landing a bag on the board is worth one. Two teams throw every other bag; four to a team per turn. You subtract the lower score from the higher to get a score for the round. The game goes to 21 (or 15, or whatever). That, my running compadre, is bags.

Since we worked as a team, you can go around being called champ if we both can.... as i recall, on the first game I carried our team to Victory....

It's important to point out that these bags are typically full of rice or beans or something -- like those ones from gym class. We played Mr. Hotfoot with 'em, but they probably don't let kids do awesome stuff like that anymore. Too dangerous.

Pansies.
